Burel thick fulled wool fabric
Traditional fulled wool fabric. Burel is a 100% wool fabric that is fulled after it is woven, a process that transforms it into a denser and hardier fabric (commonly described as "felting"). Burel was traditionally used to make many different types of clothing. Up until two generations ago, burel capes were worn daily by men, women and children in the colder regions of Portugal. While this fabric is not waterproof, it takes a long time to become soaked and remains very warm even when it is wet.
Saragoço, Branco and Pinhão are natural undyed shades, just like Raxa and Riscado 2.
One unit = one piece of 25cm x 160cm. If you buy two units you will receive a continuous piece with 50cm x 160cm, etc.
